Community Involvement and Sustainability

We believe in the importance of making a positive impact on the environment, our community, and our society.

Sustainability

DKI - Sparklean Restorations demonstrates its commitment to long term sustainability with a wide variety of technical, environmental and community support initiatives. DKI diverts 85% of its materials away from the landfill through leading edge technical innovations and DKI is committed to carefully restoring, drying, cleaning and re-using materials from our customers’ homes. Examples include the application of “drying in place” and “applied drying and cleaning” allows DKI to preserve and restore carpet, drywall and other building materials that may have been damaged.

DKI also utilizes “dry ice blasting” which performs work whereby the blasting cleans and restores in place. Historically some of those same damaged materials were removed and hauled to landfill. Dry ice blasting is able to remove mold, fire residue, and other unwanted materials. Now a customer’s home can be cleaned and restored in place with essentially no waste.

DKI additionally has a dry heat trailer which can remove moisture from building materials, personal possessions, office supplies and more.

We are proud to have in place many other environmental initiatives that supports and creates a healthy environment in which to live and work. Additional examples include the use of non-toxic green cleaning products to help ease the concerns of our clients who are returning their properties in a state that is clear of toxic chemicals and fumes.

Additionally, DKI proudly supports numerous organizations who demonstrate sustainability such as the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store, which allows us to divert waste from landfills and support those in need within our communities. This includes home products and furniture that Habitat is happy to use.
