Mike has owned and operated DKI Sparklean in St. Albert for 32 years, raising four children and enjoying time with his five grandchildren.

He serves on several boards, including the St.Albert Rotary Music Festival, St. Albert Chamber of Commerce, DKI Canada, Riel Business Park Association, Sustainable Resources Canada, The Leadership Council for Edmonton Global, St. Albert Seniors Association, and The Government Affairs Committee.

Mike has also held positions on boards including Fraternal Order of Eagles, St. Albert Curling Club, St. Albert Economic Advisory Committee, and The Federal Advisory Committee for Small Business and Entrepreneurs. He has also held the chair for the boards of Rock N August, Continental Cup of Curling, St. Albert Chamber of Commerce and The Alberta Rug Cleaners Association,

Mike has been recognized by various groups including the Eagle of the Year, Paul Harris Fellowship Award, Rotary Integrity Award, St. Albert Unsung Hero Award, The Active Advocate Award for DKI Canada, the Blair Art Memorial Award for his contributions to Rock N August, the NACA of Merit Award for contributions to curling, and the Chair’s Award for Distinction from the St. Albert Chamber of Commerce.

Mike is dedicated to his business and community, focusing on sustainable practices and local initiatives.
